Warranty & Repairs
All Forest & Frolic products go through quality control and assurance testing to ensure that we bring high quality products that will last. However in the rare occasion, if faults do happen, we have excellent after-sales service to help get your equipment up and running again.
If you have a faulty or damaged product, please email through to hello@forestandfrolic.co.nz with supporting pictures, your order number and basic details. Our team are quick and normally reply within two business days.
Warranty Policy
Our warranty only applies to the original purchaser from where the purchase was made from our www.forestandfrolic.co.nz online store or authorised Forest & Frolic Reseller only and is strictly not transferable. If the serial number is removed, altered or defaced, the warranty is void. All warranties commence on the date of purchase.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Please note - our terms and conditions laid out do not limit any statutory rights which may be available to the New Zealand consumer in respect of the product, including those under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.
- All warranties provided are conditional upon family domestic use of the product
- All warranties apply to the original purchaser from where the purchase was made from official Forest & Frolic Dealerships only; they are strictly not transferable.
- All warranties commence on the date of purchase
- Our guarantee against rust on the frame causing damage will only cover natural rust build up in cases of manufacturer fault. Any external damages to the structure causing chipping of the galvanising paint or any non-manufacturer fault will not be covered by this specific warranty.
- Failure to service the equipment in accordance with the user manual’s specifications and recommendations will void your warranty. For example, any rust spots on steel frames need to be properly extracted via wire brushes and protected with galvanized paint to prevent further corrosion. Timber components must be covered with a wood sealant or paint within 90 days for protection from the elements. If exposed to harsh weathering the timber will need to be re-coated & re-sealed with appropriate lacquer and/or water-based sealant or paint to preserve any applicable wood rot/insect damage warranty.
- All warranties covering rust causing failure, do not cover products situated at excessively high-moisture or high-salt water content areas. This includes sea-side or if the products are in direct exposure to salt water elements.
- Timber surface cracks are normal and will not affect the structural integrity of your product. This is not considered a fault under warranty.
- If there is a warranty against wood rot and insect damage, it does not cover termite damage & infestation.
- Any modifications made to the equipment will void the warranty. This does not include maintenance, anchoring (using the anchor units provided) or replacing damaged parts with Forest & Frolic model parts.
- Only fittings and accessories provided by Forest & Frolic should be used with Forest & Frolic products or your warranty may be invalidated.
- Our warranty does not apply to ordinary wear and tear of the product.
- Liability is limited to the faulty part, which will be repaired or replaced at our discretion.
- The Warranty only applies to purchases made in New Zealand, and the item must be kept in New Zealand.
- The Warranty will be void if the product’s fault arises from abuse, incorrect installation, inappropriate usage, weather related damage or Acts of god.
- Having the product assembled by a professional assembler will not extend the warranty term.
- Damage resulting from the following is not covered:
- Consumable or Expendable parts such as paint and finish is not covered under warranty, and is considered ordinary wear and tear.
Nothing in this warranty policy limits or excludes any guarantees, warranties, representations or conditions implied or imposed by law, including the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) (or any liability under the act) which by law may not be limited or excluded. If you are a "consumer" under the CGA, the following notice applies to you:
"Many of our products come with warranties and guarantees. In addition, they come with guarantees as set out in the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act. You are entitled to seek a repair, replacement or refund if the goods are faulty or the service is sub-standard."
Warranty Period Details
Forest & Frolic provides full minimum 12 months warranty coverage on all new products sold.
Exclusive Warranties or Extended warranties may apply a longer warranty period for different types of products. Please refer to below table.
